Villa Ulpiana is located in the center of Volpiano, a small town outside Turin. The facade (Villa Ulpiana is the ancient name of the city of Volpiano) were redesigned by Carlo Gloria in collaboration with the architect Stefano Cerruti. An old map of the area was painted on three sides of the house, overlapped with the current route of the motorway Torino-Milano and Torino-Aosta passing by the town. Villa Ulpiana now is no longer an anonymous house like many others, but has turned into a brave artistic intervention. |
